i have to confess this . . . i’ve gotten in over my head w/ this photos stuff. i never expected the clients that have come my way, and while i am VERY thankful for it, i feel as though my family has slacked from my absence. it is and will always be a HOBBY for me. it is by no means a job! i have a job & three little “employees” to look after & that is and will always be my priority. one of the most misunderstood things about having photos done is the time your photographer has to spend in post editing. and it is A LOT of time. more time than i am willing to give. so, unless i have already talked to you about doing a shoot (and this is only a few people), i will not be doing any photo stuff until next year.
the only catch : i will be willing to do mini sessions for anyone wanting a christmas card photo. ($25: would include max. of 30 minute shoot; one (1) family photo and one (1) kid photo)

andrea & brett are probably one of my favorite couples! andrea is as sweet as can be & brett is hilarious – we had a blast w/ this shoot! they are an exception to my “no wedding” rule & i’m so looking forward to working w/ them through their engagement & wedding day! brett proposed at this very spot just a few weeks ago, so we did part 1 of the engagement shoot here. this day was short, mainly b/c they needed a head shot asap for the paper

We were talking about a ring shot & I was telling them how my husband hates them – he just doesn’t see the point in them. So I thought it was hilarious when Brett grab Andrea’s ring & said ,” Here’s a ring shot for you.” And well, it probably is my favorite ring shot ever! Brock even liked it
i spent an afternoon w/ these lovely women a few weeks ago. ramona contacted me about doing some photos of her sweet & spunky granddaughters along w/ her daughters, jennifer & christina (who is a regular on this photo blog ha!) i had a great time w/ these ladies & the girls were very into the shoot; they smiled, acted & showed off for the camera. here are a few of my favorites . . .

this is my nephew & niece, rylan & cailee. rylan was born 5 weeks premature, but is doing good. when we were in tn i took a few minutes to get a few shots of the little guys & his proud big sister.
well, mackenzie is now officially mrs. newkirk, so i can finally post her pictures on my blog! i’ve been wanting to share a few of my favorites from her bridal shoot, but had to wait until the big day was over. doesn’t she look beautiful?!

these are my friends christina & michael. christina is a teacher at my girl’s school (the best preschool around!!) they celebrated their first wedding anniversary at the beginning of may & wanted to celebrate with some pictures! its a great idea- the first year of marriage is full its ups & downs and celebrating that you made it, is a wonderful thing! we had a blast walking around downtown wilmington. christina’s parents joined us & her mom’s shoe broke half way through, but she was a trooper & finished the rest of the shoot barefoot here’s a few more of my favorites . . . .

this is probably my favorite of the night and i know that michael was completely over it by this point. but i love all the space in this picture & how small they look compared to the big blue sky- it reminds me of how small we are in this big world & how lucky we are to have found someone to love & journey through life with. christina & michael, you are blessed to have each other! i wish you many, many more anniversaries!

i spent the afternoon with chris, megan & lila several weeks ago. we tried for a while to get several different shots of lila, but she was not having it! she wasn’t happy unless she was in her mommy’s arms! here are a few good ones i got. we are hoping to get another shoot in soon, maybe some outdoor shots??!
